POWERS AND FUNCTIONS OF THE COMMISSION.

The Commission has the following as its Statutory Functions as Provided by Law No.7 of the Year 2007.

Appointment, Recruitments, Promotion, Training, Posting and Discilpine of the Local Government unified staff on GL 07 and above.

Administer the activities of the various Local government areas as guided by the law.

Delegation of its powers to the local government council for officers on GL 01 - 06 on all issues concerning Recruitment/Appointment, Posting, Promotion and Disciplinary control within their jurisdiction.

To maintain a comprehensive and up to date seniority lists and Nominal rolls for the local government service employess.

maintaining a Monthly local government gazette and newsletters conveying staff movements including new appointments, Promotion, confirmation of appointments, retirements and Disciplinary actions.

Production of Annual Report on the Commission activities.
