DEPARTMENT OF PROMOTION AND DISCIPLINE

INTRODUCTION:
This Department is responsible for Processing of promotions and disciplinary cases of employees of the 27 Local Government Councils of the state. it is headed by a Director assisted by four othe schedule officers with each responsible for a group of Local Government Councils as assigned.

CONVERSION/CHANGE OF CADRE:
All conversion/change of cadres were based on the attainment of necessary additional educational qualifications obtained from recognized Institution of higher leraning.

DISCIPLINARY CASES: The Commission may take disciplinary measures against Staff after due process.

1. Termination of Appointment: In accordance to civil service rules, an offence may result in a Termination of Appointment of the offender.
2. Compulsory retirement: In accordance to civil service rules, an offence may result in a Compulsory Retirement of the offender.
3. Dismissal: In accordance to civil service rules, an offence may result in a Dismissal of the offender.
