The Local Government Service Commission is committed to ensuring that this website is accessible to all users, including persons with disabilities and users of assistive technology.
Our commitment
The Local Government Service Commission, Jigawa State is committed to making this website usable by the widest possible audience, regardless of disability, device or connection speed. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
What we have done
- Every page can be operated using a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator.
- A "Skip to main content" link allows keyboard and screen-reader users to bypass the navigation.
- Text can be enlarged using the A− / A / A+ controls at the top of every page, and a high-contrast mode is available beside them.
- Images that convey meaning carry alternative text; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Colour is never the only way information is conveyed.
- Pages are built with semantic headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate them.
- Forms have properly associated labels, and errors are described in text rather than by colour alone.
- Animations respect the operating system's "reduce motion" setting.
- A print stylesheet produces a clean printed copy of any page.
Known limitations
Some documents published in the Resource Centre are historic PDFs created before this website. These may not be fully accessible to screen readers. We are working through them and will publish accessible versions as they are reviewed. If you need any document in another format, please contact us and we will provide it.
Tell us about a problem
If you encounter a barrier on this website, please contact the Commission and describe the page and the difficulty. We will respond and, where possible, correct the issue.
